Hello blogland, its pictures and progress time!
This month has been a month of change. I've started "Eat More 2 Weigh Less" which has seen my daily calories go up by 400 calories a day from what MFP recommends. I've currently completed week 2 of this and so far loving it. I have much more energy and my weight loss has improved. The first week of doing it I dropped 1.8lbs and this week I dropped 0.4lbs which is fantastic seeing as I'm eating so much more than in the weeks I lost 0.2lbs. I am surprised that I have dropped this weight as I was fully expecting a gain but so far so good.
The second change is that I've joined a gym. I'm aiming to go 3 times a week purely to lift weights and to lift heavy! I am still doing the 2012 mile challenge so I'm keeping up with my running and exercise bike but I need to add more lean muscle mass and need to gym enviornment not only for the equipment but for the motivation to get the job done instead of convincing myself to go out in my cold garage and lift my weights in there. My plan so far has been to do Weds (Chest/Shoulders/Biceps), Fri (Back & Tri's) and Sun (legs). My first day of doing legs last week was a killer it took me 5 days for my DOMs to go away. I knew I should have taken it a little steady but went for it full throttle on the squats.
I'm hoping that the 2 changes I've made recently will help me drop some more weight and more importantly inches!
So here are my comparison pics. June is left and July is right. Please excuse how hanging I look as I do fall out of bed put on my picture underwear and take pics. I should really put on some make up and make myself look a little more presentable!
And now for the stats
Weight: 10st 9.4lbs (-3.4lbs), Waist: 30.5 (-0.5), Hips: 38 (-0.5), Thighs 20.25 (sts), Arm: 11.75 (-0.25); Calf: 14.5 (sts), Under Bust: 31 (sts), Full Bust: 36 (-0.5)
Total loss of -3.4lbs and 1.75 inches which is fab and I'm pretty pleased with those results.
Also looking at the pictures I can see a slight difference as well. I'm hoping there will be an improvement next month even though I do have a holiday and birthday in the next few weeks which could be disasterous.
I know I normally do a side view comparison to show you how far I have come but today I'm showing you this instead. I cannot believe how wide my butt was, I really did look like a back end of a bus. Thankfully not anymore :D

ReplyDeleteThanks N, I'm pretty pleased this month, let's just hope I don't undo all my hard work whilst on hols or my birthday. I'm taking my running gear with me so I can get a few runs in which will hopefully help with damage limitation.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this when you posted it? I think in the June/July pics you look like you've lost moer than 0.5 off your hips and the side view picture shows ace progress too :D
